Who are we?


From a modest beginning in 1965 some 38 years ago, WEST INDIES SYNTHETICS LIMITED now boasts of being the largest plastic and foam manufacturer in the English Speaking Caribbean. Ideally located in the Industrial Belt of Spanish Town, Jamaica, West Indies Synthetics has a workforce of 428 staff members that are highly trained in the execution of their day-to-day duties.

Wholly Owned Subsidiaries:

WIS-Bottle Division: Reheat, stretch blow (PETE) and extrusion blow moulding
WIS-EPS Division: Sheet extrusion and thermoforming of styrofoam
WIS -Disposable Plastics: Plastic extrusion, thermoforming, injection moulding and flexible packaging

The company currently exports extensively to the Caricom region; Barbados, Dominica, Antigua, St. Vincent, St. Kitts, Guyana, Trinidad, and St. Lucia. We also export to Suriname, Belize, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Panama, USA - Florida, New York, New Jersey and California.

West Indies Synthetics' success also rests with its caring stance. WISYNCO Environmental was established some time ago to reduce, recycle and reuse plastics. Today most of the Pete bottles used in Jamaica are collected, ground, and re-exported to the USA. All foam products manufactured by the company are CFC free and all materials used in plastic and foam productions are FDA (USA) approved.
